The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Annual Conference GP25, entitled “Brighter future together”, has been hosted successfully in Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from 14–16 November 2025. The conference programme was very rich in content and was delivered with great precision. It has been well attended by GPs/family doctors from all over Australia and beyond. I was privileged to be invited by Dr. Michael WRIGHT, President of RACGP, to participate in the President’s Keynote Discussion session on “the future of general practice” held on 16 November, joining Dr. Michael WRIGHT himself, Dr. Karen FLEGG, Immediate Past President of WONCA, and Dr. Sarah COOK, President of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. We introduced our local health care systems to the audience and then we discussed the various challenging issues related to the changing landscape of primary health care and the important roles of GPs/family doctors in our health care systems. It was very well attended by colleagues despite it was the last day of the conference. During the GP25 conference, Professor Cindy LAM, our Chief Censor and I also had a meeting with Dr. Tess van DUUREN,
