15COLLEGE NEWSPhotographic trip to Tai O and the Big Buddha%u5927%u6fb3:%u6f01%u6751%u6587%u5316%u53ca%u6392%u5c4b%uff0c%u5927%u4f5b%u651d%u5f71%u4e00%u65e5%u904aAfter a wonder lecture on urban landscapes in August, HKCFP Photography Club is excited to announce that we will organize a one-day photographic trip to Tai O, and the Big Buddha on 25 Jan 2026. We are also very delighted to invite Mr. CHAK Kam Man (%u7fdf%u9326%u6587%u8001%u5e2b) , a renowned photographic teacher, to lead us to enjoy the beauty scenes of Tai O, and how to take good pictures on the unique features of Tai O Stilt Houses and the Big Buddha. Mr. CHAK studied in Japan during his youth, focusing on learning photography techniques. After returning to Hong Kong, he became a photography instructor with over 30 years of teaching experience. He is formerly the Photography Director at the Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre, currently an instructor for the Photography and Digital Media Diploma Program in the Department of Design and Art at the YMCA Professional College. For the photographic activity, you can bring your own camera, or just your mobile phone! Mr. CHAK will also teach on some basic skills in using mobile phone app (Snapseed) for simple and fast photos editing.Internal Affairs Committee NewsThe tentative itinerary of photographic trip:09:00 Meet at To Fuk Road, Kowloon Tong10:15Arrive in Tai O (approx. 75 mins drive)10:15 - 12:00Tai O photography session12:00 - 13:30Lunch13:30 - 14:00Proceed to the Big Buddha (approx. 20 mins)14:00 - 15:30Big Buddha15:30Return trip17:00Disband at the same locationThe fee includes round-trip transportation from Kowloon Tong to Tai O and the Big Buddha; as well as lunch in a local restaurant. Each member could go with spouse and the fee is HK$200 per person. Please scan the below QR code for registration and the deadline is on 23 December 2025.
