The conference programme was very rich in content and was delivered with great precision. It has been well attended by GPs/family doctors from all over Australia and beyond. I was privileged to be invited by Dr. Michael WRIGHT, President of RACGP, to participate in the President%u2019s Keynote Discussion session on %u201cthe future of general practice%u201d held on 16 November, joining Dr. Michael WRIGHT himself, Dr. Karen FLEGG, Immediate Past President of WONCA, and Dr. Sarah COOK, President of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. We introduced our local health care systems to the audience and then we discussed the various challenging issues related to the changing landscape of primary health care and the important roles of GPs/family doctors in our health care systems. It was very well attended by colleagues despite it was the last day of the conference. During the GP25 conference, Professor Cindy LAM, our Chief Censor and I also had a meeting with Dr. Tess van DUUREN, Censor-in-Chief of RACGP, Dr. Gary BUTLER, National Clinical Lead for Assessments of RACGP, Dr. Rebecca LOCK, National CCE GP25 President's Keynote Discussion on Future of General Practice (From left to right: Dr. Karen FLEGG, Dr. Sarah COOK, Dr. David CHAO and Dr. Michael WRIGHT)Presidents of international Colleges participating in the President%u2019s Keynote Discussion (From left to right: Dr. David CHAO, Dr. Michael WRIGHT, Dr. Karen FLEGG and Dr. Sarah COOK)Assessment Advisor of RACGP, to exchange ideas on further enhancing our collaboration on the Conjoint Fellowship Examination which is going to be the 40thAnniversary of our partnership next year in 2026.Congratulations to Dr. David CHAO, President of the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians (HKCFP), on being conferred the Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) at the GP25 in Brisbane on 15 November 2025 for his exceptional and meritorious service to general practice, outstanding leadership, and ongoing significant contributions in strengthening the partnership between HKCFP and RACGP!
